The frustrating thing in this search is that there is such a volume of information, that it is hard to tell the good stuff from the bad.

I am always sceptical of the wild claims that come with advertising, but I believe I may have found a treasure here. Daniel Stevens has released this e-book and it truly does represent good value for money. He talks about the reader discovering the closely guarded secrets of professional trainers, and it seems that he may have let some of them slip in his book.

At well over 100 A4 pages, this book is full of significant and highly detailed information, yet it seems to be laid out in a fashion that makes it easy for the reader. The book is divided into nine chapters or tutorials if you like. Included are programs to correct specific dog problems, the secrets to really understanding your dog, the best training methods and, for the experienced owners – dog whispering.

Daniel covers the subject areas with such detail that it is hard to find a scenario that is not covered in this book. Fixing general disobedience such as digging, chewing and barking is dealt with, as well as explaining and curing aggression problems, and even introducing a dominance treatment program for those dogs that require it. The list of possible problems seems endless, yet Daniel seems to have an explanation for all of them.

The information is well laid out and concise, much more so than many other books on the market. There is always the danger with such a volume of information that finding a specific area can be hard. No such problem here. The division of exercises and techniques into the nine tutorials is well thought out, and a quick glance through the table of contents will identify where in the book you need to be. This is particularly useful for a training guide that you will come back to several times.

The bonus e-books that come with this package add to the wealth of information already in here. They include:

“Dog Grooming Made Easy”
“Tips On How To Security Train Your Dog”
“All The House Training Methods And Tricks”
“Secrets To Becoming The Alpha Dog”

You don’t have to be a dog training expert to understand and apply this information. It explains every thing really well, and the photo sequences aid the execution of the lesson greatly. Perhaps the best thing is that you can download Dog Obedience Training and all the bonus books to your computer and be training your dog or fixing your dog's behaviour in minutes.

What surprised me most about the book was the completeness of the information here. So many topics are covered. And if that’s not enough, he offers a free online consultation to customers as well. This is particularly useful if you are having difficulty with a command or have a particular dog problem that you are struggling with, or even a unique problem that is not covered in this comprehensive book package. Daniel can help you with any dog problem.

I highly recommend this product if you have a dog of any age or breed.

Go to : http://tweaky0039.sitstay.hop.clickbank.net for more information.

Train Your Dog At Home

Is Your Dog Out of Control?

If Yes, Help Is Here.

Daniel Stevens has written :

“SitStayFetch: Dog Training To Stop Your Dog’s Behaviour Problems.

This guy really can show you how to train your dog in minutes a day… and see results in next to no time!

Review: SitStayFetch: Dog Training To Stop Your Dog’s Behaviour Problems!

If you’ve been searching the internet for information to help train your unruly canine, you will have searched through mountains of information regarding the most effective way to train your dog. Remember that puppies are like children - they have growing bodies, short attention spans, and will only learn things when the conditions are right and when they understand what it is you're trying to teach them.

That said, the earlier you start training dogs, the better. More specifically, it's best if you start “socialization” from 8 weeks, simple commands like “come” and “sit” from 12 weeks, and more intensive training at 5 to 6 months.

**************

While some early training can be started as soon as you bring your puppy home, the optimum time to begin obedience training is somewhere around 9 to 12 weeks of age.

Keep in mind that training can cover a broad range of topics – I’m not suggesting that you begin training your puppy at 8 weeks of age for agility competitions! Your training should start off with the basics – teaching him “No!” and beginning house-training.

Socialization skills are next – experts tell us the best window for your puppy to learn socialization skills is between 3 and 16 weeks – that’s the best time to insure that your puppy grows into a well-adjusted adult.

And remember, socialization isn’t about teaching him the right fork to use at the dinner table – it’s about giving your dog the self-assurance to deal correctly with any social environment he finds himself in is one of the most valuable and lasting lessons you can teach him.

A well-socialized dog will interact well with all types of people and situations, even those he has never been in before. With appropriate social skills, your dog will show little or no fear of most objects, people or other animals, and even if startled, will recover quickly and won’t panic.

Bottom line, a well-adjusted dog is one that is comfortable in a variety of situations and surroundings. He may be excited in a new setting, but not fearful. The key here is to create positive experiences as you expose your dog to more and more new situations.

Even training your puppy for 5 – 10 minutes per day as soon as you bring him home will make a big difference in the social skills and adaptability of your puppy.

Keep in mind that puppies have very short attention spans, so keep your lessons short and fun. How short an attention span? That depends on the age of the puppy, his breed and how mature your individual puppy is – but a good rule of thumb is to keep the training sessions within that 5 -10 minute range.

Depending on your puppy’s age and maturity level, sometime between 3 and 6 months of age you should be moving the training into the area of the basic commands such as Sit, Heel, Down, etc.

It’s important you have realistic expectations about your dog’s capabilities at this point – I don’t expect a puppy to be responding to the basic commands with any degree of regularity until they’ve reached 6 months of age.

And if you want to start today . . . just click here to check out my book “Dog Training Secrets!”

---------------------------------------------------------

(c) 2004 by Charlie Lafave, author, "Dog Training Secrets!"

To transform your stubborn, misbehaving dog into a loyal, well-behaving "best friend" who obeys your every command and is the envy of the neighbourhood, visit:

http://hop.clickbank.net/hop.cgi?tweaky39/netads

Train Your Dog

The 7 Stages of Puppy Development

The 7 Stages of Puppy Development

In order to understand why your puppy doesn’t listen to you at times, you need to understand each stage of development a puppy goes through as it matures.

Let’s take a look at the different stages, but before we do, keep in mind that these stages are generalizations – each dog will progress at its own pace.

Stage 1: The Transitional Stage
2-3 Weeks

The Transitional stage generally lasts from age two to three weeks, and it’s during this time that your puppy’s eyes will open, and he’ll slowly start to respond to light and movement and sounds around him. He’ll become a little more mobile during this period, trying to get his feet underneath him and crawling around in the box (or wherever home is.) He’ll start to recognize mom and his littermates, and any objects you might place in the box.

Stage 2: The Almost Ready To Meet The World Stage
3-4 Weeks

The Almost ready to meet the world stage lasts from 3 to about 4 weeks, and your puppy undergoes rapid sensory development during this time. Fully alert to his environment, he’ll begin to recognize you and other family members. It’s best to avoid loud noises or sudden changes during this period – negative events can have a serious impact on his personality and development right now. Puppies learn how to be a dog during this time, so it’s essential that they stay with mom and littermates.

Stage 3: The Overlap Stage
4-7 Weeks

From 3-4 weeks your puppy begins the most critical social development period of his life – he learns social interaction with his littermates, learns how to play and learns bite inhibition.

He’ll also learn discipline at this point – Mom will begin weaning the pups around this time, and will start teaching them basic manners, including accepting her as the leader of the pack. You can begin to introduce food to the pups starting around the 4th week – transition gradually as Mom weans them.

Continue handling the pups’ daily, but don’t separate them from either Mom or litter mates for more than about 10 minutes per day. Puppies that are removed from the nest too early frequently are nervous, more prone to barking and biting and have a more difficult time with socialization and training. Puppies need to be left with Mom and siblings until at least 7 weeks of age - and preferably a little longer - for optimum social development.

Experts say that the best time in a puppy’s life to learn social skills is between 3 and 16 weeks of age – that’s the window of opportunity you have to make sure your puppy grows up to be a well-adjusted dog. It’s extremely important to leave your puppy with Mom and his littermates during as much of this period as possible. Don’t discipline for play fighting, housebreaking mistakes or mouthing – that’s all normal behaviour for a puppy at this stage.

Stage 4: The “I’m Afraid of Everything” Stage
8 Weeks to 3 Months

The “I’m Afraid of Everything” Stage lasts from about 8 weeks to 3 months, and is characterized by rapid learning as well as a “fearful period” that usually pops up at around 8 to 10 weeks. Not all dogs experience this, but most do, and they’ll appear terrified over things that they took in stride before. This is not a good time to engage in harsh discipline (not that you ever should anyway!), loud voices or traumatic events.

At this time your puppy’s bladder and bowels are starting to come under much better control, and he’s capable of sleeping through the night. (At last, you can get some rest!) You can begin teaching simple commands like: come, sit, stay, down, etc. Leash training can begin. It’s important not to isolate your puppy from human contact at this time, as he’ll continue to learn behaviours and manners that will affect him in later years.

Stage 5: The Juvenile Stage
3 Months to 4 Months

The Juvenile stage typically lasts from 3 to 4 months of age, and it’s during this time your puppy is most like a toddler. He’ll be a little more independent - he might start ignoring the commands he’s only recently learned – just like a child does when they’re trying to exert their newfound independence. As in “I don’t have to listen to you!” Firm and gentle reinforcement of commands and training is what’s required here.

He might start biting you – play biting or even a real attempt to challenge your authority. A sharp “No!” or “No bite!” command, followed by several minutes of ignoring him, should take care of this problem.

Continue to play with him and handle him on a daily basis, but don’t play games like tug of war or wrestling with him. He may perceive tug of war as a game of dominance – especially if he wins. And wrestling is another game that can rapidly get out of hand. As your puppy’s strength grows, he’s going to want to play-fight to see who’s stronger – even if you win; the message your puppy receives is that it’s ok to fight with you. And that’s not ok!

Stage 6: The Brat Stage
4-6 Months

The Brat Stage starts at about 4 months and runs until about 6 months, and it’s during this time your puppy will demonstrate even more independence and wilfulness. You may see a decline in his urge to please you – expect to see more “testing the limits” type of behaviours. He’ll be going through a teething cycle during this time, and will also be looking for things to chew on to relieve the pain and pressure. Frozen doggie bones can help sooth him during this period.

He may try to assert his new “dominance” over other family members, especially children. Continue his training in obedience and basic commands, but make sure to never let him off his leash during this time unless you’re in a confined area. Many times pups at this age will ignore commands to return or come to their owners, which can be a dangerous, even fatal, breakdown in your dog’s response to you. If you turn him loose in a public place, and he bolts, the chances of injury or even death can result – so don’t take the chance.

He’ll now begin to go through the hormonal changes brought about by his growing sexual maturity, and you may see signs of rebelliousness. (Think adolescent teen-age boy!) If you haven’t already, you should have him neutered during this time. (Or spayed if you have a female.)

Stage 7: The Young Adult Stage
6-18 Months

The Young Adulthood stage lasts from 6 months to about 18 months, and is usually a great time in your dog’s life - he’s young, he’s exuberant, he’s full of beans – and yet he’s learning all the things he needs to become a full-fledged adult dog.

Be realistic in your expectations of your dog at this time – just because he’s approaching his full growth and may look like an adult, he’s not as seasoned and experienced as you might expect. Gradually increase the scope of activities for your dog, as well as the training. You can start more advanced training during this period, such as herding or agility training, if that’s something both of you are interested in. Otherwise, extend his activities to include more people and other animals – allow him to interact with non-threatening or non-aggressive dogs.

Congratulations! You’ve raised your puppy through the 7 stages of childhood, err, I mean puppyhood, and now you have a grown-up, adult dog! Bringing them home as they are crawling all over your lap. Licking your face with their cute little pink tongues.

Of course what we remember as kids with our first dog is a lot different from what our parents remember about that time. As a lot of us have found out since we grew up and brought a puppy home for our family.

We soon realize there is much work that goes along with the cute little guy. It’s not long before he is chewing everything in sight. You find yourself moving everything in your house as if you had a toddler around.

Then there is the house training, lots of fun there.
With some dogs it could take weeks before your dog has mastered going to the door. Which is why some people give up and just spend their time cleaning up after him.
But thankfully here are some great products out there to aid in house training your dog.

The biggest thing I have found though, is you need to be consistent with your puppy. Just like a child, puppies can easily learn to have a routine. The first thing every morning you take him outside, just before bed you take him out. You need to keep the puppy around you, if you spend most of your day on the lower level of your house, then that’s where the puppy should be too. You need to keep an eye on him. If he has a drink, you give him about 10 minutes than take him out and see if he will go. An hour after he eats, do the same thing. Not only will he eventually learn to do his business outside, but also it will happen quicker because you are being consistent.

The same with the chewing, you must catch him in the act and change his mind. Whether you do this by giving him a chew toy and luring him away from whatever it is he is chewing. Just tell him NO, and then give him something else to do.

The biggest problem today with people training their pets is that they don’t have time. You both work all day and are tired when you get home, the last thing you want to do is work on training your puppy. This is a terrible situation for the puppy though, because they are in a new environment. They were removed from their mother and siblings. Then people bring them home and leave them by themselves for 8 to 10 hours a day.

If there can be no one home for the first few months you have your pet then you should probably wait until the situation changes. This kind of set up will never work for you or the puppy. Therefore if this is your household, don’t get a pet at this time.

To everyone with a dog or cat, just take care of them and love them and you will get much love back.

---------------------------------------------------------

Mark McAuley is a 40 year old father. Dog
Training - basic obedience, house and potty training are
therefore essential and important to a dog’s education.

The conventional method of dog training tips and guide would be
to list a series of things that you should “Do” and you might
even know the A-Z of dog training! But sometimes what should be
done can be said best by telling what should not be done. Hope
you agree with me!

This article seeks to list 18 “Don’t” when you train your dog.
The reasons for the don'ts will become evident as the lessons
continue and each one is based upon the distinctive psychology of
the dog's mind.

1. DON'T punish your dog while you are angry or lack control of
yourself.

2. DON'T punish your dog with the lead or any instrument of
training or anything he should associate with duty or pleasure.

3. DON'T sneak up on your dog or grab him from the rear.

4. DON'T chase your dog to catch him; he must come to you or run
after you.

5. DON'T coax your dog to you and then turn upon him with the
whip. You will regret the deception.

6. DON'T trick or fool or taunt your dog. It is cruel and
inconsistent to tease your dog to come to you when he can not.

7. DON'T punish a dog by stepping on his paws needlessly. They
are exceedingly sensitive. Don't twist his ears playfully or
otherwise. Never strike him on the backbone, in the face or on
the ears.

8. DON'T grab your dog or reach for him quickly. He should never
fear his master, should not be made nervous by his master, and
should feel that punishment given is deserved.

9. DON'T nag your dog; don't be giving orders to him constantly;
don't pester him with your shoutings.

10. DON'T praise a dog for doing a certain act, then at a later
time, scold him for doing the same act. If you permit him to bite
your toes today and think it fun, do not strike him for doing it
tomorrow, when you are not in good humor. Consistency is a chief
virtue in dog training.

11. DON'T train your dog immediately or soon after he has eaten.

12. DON'T lose patience with a puppy younger than six months.
Never throw or kick a puppy nor lift him by the head or leg or
skin of the neck.

13. DON'T train him in feats requiring much strength or endurance
until he is at least six months old.

14. DON'T work your dog without some short rest or play periods
during training. A five-minute rest for every fifteen minutes of
training is desirable.

15. DON'T permit everyone to give commands to your dog. While you
are training him, he must be a one-man dog, depending on you
alone to feed him and care for him.

16. DON'T consider tricks the chief end or the chief part of
training. Usefulness is the object sought in all instruction of
the dog. Acts that spring naturally from the dog's instincts are
to be fostered.

17. DON'T expect your dog to be a wonderful dog after a few weeks
of training; four months to a year may be necessary in order to
make the master proud of him, but the work is worth the effort.
Training never ends.

18. DON'T jump to the conclusion that your dog is dumb. He may
differ with you believing that the trainer should know more than
the dog.

To end, try to remember these 18 Don’ts rules, enjoy training
your dog and most importantly have lots of fun along the way!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Moses Chia is a dog lover and owner of DogsObedienceTraining.com
– The dog training resource site for a happier and healthier dog.

For more information on Training Your Dog please visit

http://www.tweaky39.sitstay.hop.clickbank.net

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Puppy Training Tips

Puppy Training Tips

by: Gary Allison

With more and more people buying dogs the need for good training is become a necessity.

There are tons of people out there who are buying dogs because they are cute and lovable. And yes, that is a great reason to buy a puppy, but if you are going to purchase a dog, you must be ready to take care of it the right way.

Below is a list of do’s and don’ts for you new puppy. These training rules can be used as a basic outline for ensuring that your puppy will be well behaved for its entire life. Remember, if you train them when they are puppies, and stick with it, your dog will be well behaved for its entire life (exceptions do apply of course!)

1. Be sure to train your puppy to be comfortable staying in a crate for an extended period of time. This is often overlooked because most people want to play with their new puppy 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

You can work up to a longer period of time by first start with small durations. For example, keep your puppy in its crate for 15 minutes every night. Do not pay any attention to it. After the 15 minutes take the puppy out and reward it for its good behavior. Every night you can extend the duration of time, and soon enough your new puppy will be comfortable in its crate.

2. Teach your puppy early and often that it is not acceptable to jump up on guests when they enter your house, or while they are trying to eat. This is not only a bad habit for the dog, but it is also very disrespectful to your guests. The first couple of times that your new puppy does this be sure to correct it in a positive manner. The most important thing to remember is to not let the puppy ever get away with this. If it happens once, it can happen again. And after a habit is established it will be much tougher to break.

3. Absolutely no chasing or running after other animals, or other people. A lot of puppies get into the habit of chasing after anything that will run from it. This goes for animals that it may see in the yard, or the mailman who visits your house everyday. After breaking this habit you will be glad that you did; just ask your mailman!

4. Train your dog to quit barking when told. This can be one of the tougher habits to break, especially if you get a dog who loves to bark. The most important thing to remember is to stay persistent with this one. If your dog is barking when it should not be, correct it every time. Do not give up on your persistence, and you will have success in the end.

5. A new puppy should never be allowed to be protective of its toys, food, or bed. Try to break your new puppy of this habit as soon as possible. You will be able to tell if this is a problem by a simple test. When your dog gets done playing with a toy attempt to pick it up and take it away. If the puppy snaps at you are growls, then you have this problem. Be sure to remedy it as soon as possible. If you let it go too long this can turn into a serious problem at a later date.

6. Make sure that your new puppy can be left alone without supervision. Also make sure that when left alone, your puppy is not destructive. Again, like the crate exercise discussed above, leave your puppy at home alone for a few minutes at a time. Eventually you will be built up to the point where you can leave your new puppy at home for hours on end without ever having to worry about coming home to a huge mess!

7. Make sure that your puppy is comfortable in places other than its home. Making your puppy feel comfortable outside of its comfort zone will surely make your life easier as the years pass. This is very important because your new puppy will eventually have to spend time at the veterinarian, a kennel, groomer, or at another person’s house. If you miss out on training your dog for this, you will be held down by it for the rest of your life. If you can never leave your dogs side, you will surely feel the effects anytime it needs a haircut, a vaccine, or if you ever decide to take a vacation. Do not miss out on this training step!
Overall, these seven training rules will surely make your relationship with your new puppy a positive experience.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

About The Author
© 2006, Gary Allison, This article may be used for reprint so long as the author’s bio and live link is included. For example if you say down, you can’t expect the dog to sit down.
· Rubbing his nose in his urine will just give him a sore nose, but won’t stop him from weeing on your carpet again.
·

Smacking the dog won’t help at all so Expert Dog Trainers have found.
· Also raising your voice will confuse the dog. When giving the dog a command, it is the tone of your voice that tells him what he is supposed to do.
·

Don’t let the dog eat at the same time as you do. This will give him the idea that he is your equal. Feed him before or after you have eaten. This will let the dog know that you are his master.
·

Keep training sessions to about 15 minutes, otherwise the dog will lose interest and be bored. Remember dogs have a very short attention span.
· It’s easier to train a young dog than an older one. An older one can be trained but it may take longer, plus a lot of patience on your part.
·

If you have to take your dog from one place to another, make sure the crate or whatever you use to put the dog into while travelling is the right size. If it is too big the dog feels insecure and is very uncomfortable.

Again if it is too small the dog will be cramped and uncomfortable.
·

Don’t train the dog if you are in a bad mood. The tone of your voice will be different and the dog won’t be able to understand what is expected of him.
·

If the dog does what you ask him to do, be sure to praise him lavishly.

The thing to bear in mind is that your dog normally wants to please you.

There are bad dogs, just like there are bad humans, but he loves you, no matter how you treat him. He may be frightened of you, but that’s not what you want is it?

So when training your dog, be patient and consistent. Eventually he will understand what you expect of him and then you will have a dog to be proud of.

For more information about Training Your Dog please visit

http://www.tweaky39.sitstay.hop.clickbank.net

Train Your Dog

Train Your Dog Book Review

Train Your Dog

Dog Training Book Review

Is Your Dog Out of Control?
If Yes, Help Is Here.

Daniel Stevens has written “SitStayFetch: Dog Training To Stop Your Dog’s Behavious Problems.

This guy really can show you how to train your dog in minutes a day… and see results in next to no time!

Review: SitStayFetch: Dog Training To Stop Your Dog’s Behavior Problems!

If you’ve been searching the internet for information to help train your unruly canine, you will have searched through mountains of information regarding the most effective way to train your dog. The frustrating thing in this search is that there is such a volume of information, that it is hard to tell the good stuff from the bad.

I am always skeptical of the wild claims that come with advertising, but I believe I may have found a treasure here.

It explains very thing really well, and the photo sequences aid the execution of the lesson greatly. Perhaps the best thing is that you can download Dog Obedience Training and all the bonus books to yourcomputer and be training your dog or fixing your dog's behavior in minutes.

Go to : http://tweaky39.sitstay.hop.clickbank.net/ for more information.

Train Your Dog

Sit Stay Fetch Dog Training Book To Train Your Dog

The Most Complete Dog Training Package with Professional Training Secrets Broken Down Into An Easy To Follow Book

Daniel Stevens is the author of the highly popular "SitStayFetch: Dog Training To Stop Your Dog's Behaviour Problems."

His books are the easiest to follow, dog obedience books on the market.
